Ofsted Inspection Report - 2008
If you haven't already done so, please take a look at
our latest report. We did very well in all areas and are
rightfully very proud of our hard work. The inspection highlighted our
excellence in working with parents, which is the basis of all we do. It
recognised the extensive knowledge and understanding staff members have of
each child and how this impacts on their learning. Our enthusiasm is praised
and the inspector was impressed by the amount of planning that goes into
each session.
Suffolk County Council - Sustainability Funding
We are delighted to report that Suffolk County Council has awarded us
£30,000 towards our general running costs. This is fantastic news and
provides us with around 6 months' funding
The funds are part of a Council-run program to sustain local services and
support our community, and we have the opportunity to re-apply to this fund
in future.
Suffolk Fire & Rescue Firefighters Green Watch (Princes Street,
Ipswich) raised over £8,000 on our behalf.

Some of our parents, children and staff enjoyed a visit to the Fire Station.

Kevin Ling and Debbie Ghant were both brave (or mad?) enough
to run the London Marathon and kind enough to chose to sponsor Suffolk
School for Parents.

Their amazing efforts have raised around £3,500 and we are deeply grateful to
them both for thinking of us and making such a wonderful contribution to our
school.
The Gislingham Belles ladies group were kind enough to adopt Suffolk
School for Parents for a whole year, and raised over £1,500 for us through a
number of different events.

A big
'thank you' to all of the ladies who supported us.
