Who does SUFFOLK SCHOOL for PARENTS help ? Suffolk School for Parents is
primarily for pre-school children within Suffolk who have motor learning
difficulties although occasionally, places may be available for children and
parents from other areas.
A child can be referred to Suffolk
School for Parents in a variety of ways, including through a GP, Health
Visitor, Early Years Practitioners (e.g. Speech and Language Therapists,
Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists) or indeed by parents themselves. On first contact, the parent and child will
be invited to visit the school, or the Team Leader will arrange for a home visit
by a Senior Team Member, if this is more appropriate. Parents are then given time to consider
what is being offered and whether this is the right service for their child. If a Conductive Education approach is not
the most appropriate for your child, we will make alternative suggestions and
offer support.
